Our joints naturally lose their resiliency over time, with wear and tear. When the cartilage “cushion” that rests at the heart of our joints where the bones meet starts to wear down, it’s that bone on bone contact that leads to pain, stiffness, inflammation and osteoarthritis. And that makes vinyasa a lot less fun. But just like the rest of our body, we can nourish our joints daily, to help prevent cartilage breakdown and reduce inflammation as we age. And it’s never too late nor too early to start, especially if you are active.
Vinyasa Forever Daily Joint Care is a one-capsule-per-day, vegan-friendly natural supplement that helps reduce and prevent inflammation in joints. This formula contains two of the best known and loved Ayurvedic herbs: Turmeric and Boswellia.
Turmeric, often referred to as Curcumin, which is its active component and Latin name, is a bright yellowy-orange root that is used in Indian cooking and featured extensively in both Ayurvedic medicine and Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). Turmeric is a potent antioxidant whose many benefits include: anti-inflammatory and pain-relieving properties especially in joints and sprains, wound healing, and support for liver health, respiratory and gastrointestinal issues.
Boswellia, also known as Indian frankincense, is extracted from the Boswellia serrata tree. It has been used for thousands of years in Ayurveda to treat inflammation including arthritis, pain, fever, and heart disease. Boswellia has a lot in common with turmeric in mechanisms of action and conditions treated, and studies suggest that using turmeric or curcumin and boswellia together may be even more effective than using each herb alone.
