Protein is one of three primary macronutrients that provide energy to human body, along with fats and carbohydrates. They are comprised of a number of amino acids that are essential to proper body function and serve as building blocks of body issue.
There are 20 different amino acids in total. While some of these can be made in the body, there are 9 essential amino acids that people can only obtain from dietary sources. Foods that provide all of the essential amino acids are called complete protein sources and can include animal as well as some plant-based sources.
A diet rich in high-quality clean protein supports good health, muscle recovery and growth. All proteins are not created equal however, and if you are vegan, vegetarian, or simply cutting back on animal products in your diet it can be challenging to get the quality protein you need. Which is where a daily protein smoothie makes a ton of sense. In less time than it takes to make a bowl of cereal you can blend up a great tasting protein smoothie that will keep you energized and satisfied for hours – while also helping your body build and repair lean muscle tissue in your body.

This protein has seriously changed my life. I made the switch to a plant based protein and I couldn't be happier. The taste is amazing, and compliments many recipes well. This is seriously worth trying! This is a lot cleaner than many other plant based proteins and is suitable for those of us with a million dietary restrictions.
Thank you so much Alexis - you made our day!
Anyone who consumes plant based protein regularly understands the struggle of finding one with the right texture.. look no further! I have spent years in the bodybuilding industry, trying just about every protein under the sun. I prefer plant based because it aligns with my diet but I always struggled to stick to plant based because they are often so much less tasty than the whey proteins - Niyama is an exception to that rule!
I initially heard about Niyama through a giveaway that I won and I have now vowed to use it as my only protein powder, it is THAT good! The ingredients are clean AND organic, the micronutrients are amazing (go check the label!) and the taste/texture is 10/10! And if you still aren't convinced after reading this far, Niyama is a Canadian woman-owned business.. what else could you ask for?! Protein that tastes great, fuels your body better than most others on the market, is natural, AND supporting someone who has poured their heart & soul into a company to produce a product like this?! Thank you for creating such a phenomenal product, I can't wait to try some of the others in your line!
Wow! We are blushing! Thank you for sharing this awesome review- so happy you love our plant protein
My girlfriend let me use some of her protein when mine ran out and seriously ...this protein gets you feeling SHREDDED. Never going back to my old plant protein brand! Niyama... more like “I AM A” big fan.
Thanks Nathan! Thrilled you love our plant protein!
I have taken a lot of different options for protein powder as I have never found one I absolutely love. I came across this company and WOW. I high quality product at a very reasonable price. This is such an amazing thing for moms on the go. We've also used it in recipes and I can feel comfortable with my kids eating recipes with this in it. I would highly recommend. You will not regret it.
