  • Protein is one of three primary macronutrients that provide energy to human body, along with fats and carbohydrates. They are comprised of a number of amino acids that are essential to proper body function and serve as building blocks of body issue.
There are 20 different amino acids in total. While some of these can be made in the body, there are 9 essential amino acids that people can only obtain from dietary sources. Foods that provide all of the essential amino acids are called complete protein sources and can include animal as well as some plant-based sources.
A diet rich in high-quality clean protein supports good health, muscle recovery and growth. All proteins are not created equal however, and if you are vegan, vegetarian, or simply cutting back on animal products in your diet it can be challenging to get the quality protein you need. Which is where a daily protein smoothie makes a ton of sense. In less time than it takes to make a bowl of cereal you can blend up a great tasting protein smoothie that will keep you energized and satisfied for hours – while also helping your body build and repair lean muscle tissue in your body.

Pleasant taste, but hard to digest

Unfortunately after a few weeks of drinking daily smoothie, my stomach can no longer tolerate the protein powder. I can no longer use the product in a smoothie, though I can add it to baking recipes.

    Delicious

The protein powder is great as a shake or mixed with yogurt and chocolate chips as a healthy treat. I love that it’s from a Canadian, female-owned business.

Thanks you so much Lisa! music to our ears - and love the idea of adding choc chips to the yogurt protein mix!

    Delicious, dissolves properly, non bloating!

I’ve tried so many vegan protein powders that are cloying, clumping, or have a weird chemical aftertaste. This one has NONE of that. My 4 teens use this in their morning smoothly, and I do to. As an IBS sufferer, this has been so gentle on my system. We LOVE it. Thank you for making a delicious protein that my whole family can enjoy!

Thank you so much for sahring Jenny, this was not an easy product to make, so this is music to our ears - so glad to be part of your family's morning!
